Learning how to live an eco-friendly lifestyle can be extremely overwhelming, especially when you know little about the subject. For me, I’m still having a hard time becoming accustomed to it.

So, I thought it’d be helpful to make a list of some companies that specialize in wanting a greener world. That way, you can begin to take little steps towards living eco-friendly. Here are 10 organizations that want to keep our Earth green.

  1. JUST WATER – Jaden Smith

I first learned about Jaden Smith’s brand a few years back and I thought it was such an amazing idea! Their cartons are made from plant-derived materials and the product uses spring water instead of processed water. This is important because spring water contains natural minerals and pH balance.

The production of their water does not use fossil fuels and they pump from a natural resource. The carton is 100% recyclable and can even be reused.

There are many other facts about this company on their website.

2. LUSH

My friend who lives a greener lifestyle told me about how she buys her shampoos, conditioners, and body wash bars from LUSH.

They sell vegan products and each product has a little description of how it’s helping the environment. Other products even mention how you can bring the empty container back to the store so it can be recycled.

This company sells everything that’s vegan and/or zero-waste such as razors, soaps, bamboo toothbrushes, and even bamboo cutlery.

My favorite thing about their website is their ‘Zero Waste Blog’ that talks about owning zero waste products. It’s such a cool concept that I wish other websites would utilize because it influences the buyers to want to buy their products.

All of the eco-friendly products are for your home, kitchen, bathroom, and self-care.

4. 4Ocean

4Ocean, a nonprofit organization, started out with making bracelets from plastics found in the ocean. This company all started with a couple of friends taking a simple vacation to a polluted beach.

By cleaning the oceans, rivers, and coastlines, they can both fund their products and bring awareness. After they collect the plastic, they sort by color and break it down into pellets. Then, the pellets are formed into a bracelet or a mask.

What’s awesome about this company is that each color of bracelet they produce represents what animal would benefit from your purchase. For example, I own the ‘Shark Beaded Bracelet’ which helps bring awareness to sharks that are endangered.

Each bracelet is made from a pound of plastic and being able to say you’ve helped clean the ocean just by owning a piece of jewelry or a mask is awesome!

5. WowE

WowE is a company that makes bamboo toothbrushes. Their vision began with wanting to turn everyday products into something that supports nature.

I love how a simple product helps reduce your carbon footprint. Something as simple as this is a great start to living greener.

This company sells all kinds of household products that are specifically eco-friendly in one way or another.

Their mission statement speaks volume and brings to light a major concern that has been brought up throughout the years.

Turning simple household products to zero-waste is amazing because it creates a way to live greener more conveniently.

I’ve been using their products for a few years now and I love them! They make plant-based deodorants as well as vegan and cruelty-free shampoo/conditioner products. Their shampoo and conditioner bottles are made 100% from recycled plastics.

Their mission statement, “Whatever we must do must be good for beauty and give a little love to the planet,” is one that’s very refreshing yet inspiring to hear.

Making something that helps both you and the planet is amazing!

8. Saatva

Saatva is a company I recently learned about through social media. They make mattresses from recycled tempered steel, plant-based foam, and organic cotton.

I love the idea of buying something that’s supposed to be long-lasting and also being made from recyclables. It brings a sense of permanence to the meaning of recycling.

This clothing company specializes in making eco-fabrics with low-impact dyes. They’ve recognized the negative impacts we’ve made towards our planet and they’re finding ways to lessen it.

Their fabrics look comfy and they are made from 100% organic cotton. What’s really interesting about their brand is that they blend wood pieces with cotton to create their clothing.

Summersalt is another company I recently learned about through social media. They make swimsuits and loungewear out of recycled materials. I’ve never heard of companies making up-cycled swimsuits and I think it’s such a cool idea.

This company makes clothing in every size and I think that’s important for all women out there. All of their products look comfy and that feeling of knowing everyone can own an eco-friendly swimsuit or hoodie brings hope for our environment.

There are a lot of other companies out there that put the planet first and each one is truly changing the world. Unfortunately, I could not talk about every single one of them unless I wanted to create a super long chapter book haha! Knowing that something as small as a bamboo toothbrush can mitigate our carbon footprint is eye-opening. I hope that many of you begin shopping with that thought in mind.
